Your First Visit to our LaGrange Dental Office

At Kersey Dental, we always want you to feel completely comfortable in our care. If you or your child have any concerns or specific needs, please share them with us – we want to know!

Your Child’s First Visit to the Dentist

We believe that a fun, casual first meeting is the ideal way to introduce the sights and sounds of the dental environment to your child.

We know that the first trip to the dentist is an important step towards healthy habits for life, and we want to get off to a great start! We pace this appointment based on your child’s interest and response to the dental environment.

Sometimes it is just a ride in the “spaceship” (dental chair), or a teeth cleaning while your child holds “Mr. Thirsty” (the suction) and learns what we are all about. We will also teach both you and your child how to make brushing and healthy eating habits fun and rewarding to help take care of that precious smile!

As Your Child Grows Up

A key part of dentistry for children is staying informed about your child’s dental development as they mature. We will recommend periodic digital x-rays to help monitor your child’s progress as permanent teeth erupt and advise you of important preventive measures such as dental fluoride treatments or sealants to prevent cavities.

We invite you to Contact Us to chat about your child’s first dental experience. We can help you plan this visit, and provide you with tips on preparing your child for what to expect. Our goal is to make the dental office a fun adventure that you will both look forward to!

Every smile is unique.

A healthy smile begins with a complete assessment of your teeth, jaw joints, bite and gums. Dr. Kersey uses diagnostic tools such as digital dental radiographs and tiny intraoral cameras, along with a thorough examination of your teeth, jaw joints and soft tissues to look for areas of disease or infection, broken-down fillings or ill-fitting appliances. With this information in hand, he will discuss your smile goals with you and develop a plan to keep your smile healthy for a lifetime.

Dental Insurance

As a courtesy to our patients, we bill most traditional dental plans in our office and request that co-pays and deductibles are paid at the time of service. Dental insurance plans vary greatly. Call us, and we will be happy to research your coverage.
